Philadelphia-Camden-Vineland, PA-NJ-DE-MD CSA -- Regional & Local GeoDemographics Like most larger metros, the Philadelphia-Camden-Vineland, PA-NJ-DE-MD CSA has a diverse population and covers a large geographic area. While individual cities and counties throughout the metro have individual identities and independence, they are very interdependent with one another. Commerce is networked. Highways are common and link businesses and households. Larger airports are shared in the region and link to other metros. Graduates from schools in one area are likely to work or attend college in the same region. As the population becomes more mobile both electronically and on the road, socioeconomic interdependence increases. How might changing patterns in the metro affect you? Where are the best opportunities for business? For investing? How do you determine what patterns will change, when and where? What areas or attributes might change faster than others? What data, methodologies and tools do you use to examine these questions? Proximity's GeoDemographics WebCourse can help answer these questions. Applications reviewed in these sections are used in the GeoDemographics WebCourse and are focused on the Philadelphia-Camden-Vineland, PA-NJ-DE-MD Combined Statistical Area (CSA). WebCourse participants are provided with the Proximity CommunityViewer software, application project resources, and data files needed to study these issues -- for any area(s) of interest. The start-up view of the CommunityViewer Philadelphia project shows the Philadelphia-Camden-Vineland, PA-NJ-DE-MD Combined Statistical Area (CSA code 428). Similar applications may be developed for any county, metro, or region.
