The state-by-state total population ranking table shows total population and percent of U.S. population, 2000 through 2030. In this table, the "P" columns show total population in the corresponding year. For example, P2000 refers to the total population in year 2000. The "%" columns show the percent of state population relative to the total U.S. population in the corresponding year. For example, %2000 refers to the percent of the U.S. population in that state in 2000. These projections update in 2012, coordinated with Census 2010, American Community Survey and related multi-area estimates & projections.
